Summary
- FC Barcelona has signed deals with Nico Williams and Joan Garcia for 6 years
- Garcia is reported to get €7/8m net per season
- Williams has agreed to a deal of €25 million
FC Barcelona has nearly concluded the deals with Nico Williams and Joan Garcia in the ongoing 2026 transfer. The Spanish club will be the home for the duo for 6 years, whose contract will end in June 2031. While Garcia is reported to get €7/8 million net per season, Williams has agreed to a deal of €25 million, as per Fabrizio Romano.
To get Williams on board, Barcelona is working with Athletic for a smooth transfer. The multiple-time La Liga winners took to social media and confirmed the deal for Garcia. They are yet to confirm the deal for Williams, which could soon be made official. The two deals are likely to strengthen the popular football club.
Barcelona was interested in Williams even in the 2024 transfer window. However, they failed to convince the star player to join them at the cost of Bilbao. Likewise, Barcelona signed Garcia, the Arsenal goalkeeper, who could be crucial for them in the upcoming seasons. With Williams in the lineup alongside Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, things could be bright for FCB.
"We can sign players normally and are in the 1:1." - FC Barcelona President
Joan Laporta recently spoke about the transfers and claimed to have a 1:1 while signing the players. The FC Barcelona president confirmed the signing of Garcia and claimed to have completed the deal with Williams without taking their names. Laporta claimed to have a flexible relationship with La Liga and hoped to confirm all of their new signings soon.
