After playing a 1-1 draw against Slovenia Denmark will now face England in their second Group game of the ongoing Euro 2024. England despite being favourites to win the game faces a significant challenge in the form of Rasmus Hojlund. The 21-year-old Manchester United star has become a household name in Denmark and is being looked at as their key to success.

Hojlund has been phenomenal in recent times as he has been scoring without any breaks. In 36 Premier League and Champions League appearances for Man United Hojlund scored 15 goals in his debut season. In the Danish Campaign in EURO qualifications, Hojlund scored seven goals for his team and kept them atop the table.

His amazing pace and unmatchable skills have been phenomenal for the team and he will be keen to make a count against England. However, it’s worth mentioning that Hojlund scored his last international goal for Denmark nine games ago. If Hojlund manages to break the streak Denmark will surely fancy their chances against the mighty Three Lions.

‘The goals will come’ – Denmark boss Kasper praises Hojlund

Despite facing a drought in the international game Demark’s fans and support staff continue their faith in Rasmus Hojlund and expect him to score soon. "Sometimes you have this period where you do not score a lot of goals - but Rasmus makes a big impression in every game," said Denmark boss Kasper

"He is motivated and always makes a difference which is the most important thing. The goals will come. Sometimes you have to fight more for goals. Other times they go in every time you shoot”, he further added.

Meanwhile, Hojlund’s teammate Christian Eriksen also expressed his faith in the squad and said that they could trouble England. He said all this after scoring the team’s only goal in a 1-1 draw game against Slovenia.

He said, “It’s clear we should have won that game but with a point, we can still decide [progression] ourselves. I’m convinced that Denmark will fancy their chances against England despite them being one of the massive favourites to win the tournament. This is football and anything can happen.”
