The German international's current agreement with Bayern runs until June 2026. Previously, Musiala has expressed openness to the possibility of extending his commitment to the club. Additionally, he has garnered interest from leading European teams, including Manchester City. Nonetheless, Bayern is focused on securing his long-term future with a new contract.
Bayern Munich is reportedly going to offer better wages to Musiala
According to Sky Sport, the Bundesliga giants are preparing to propose a substantial wage increase for the 21-year-old, ranging from €20 million (£16m/$21m) to €25 million (£20m/$26m), should he agree to a new contract. This marks a significant rise from his current earnings of approximately €8 million (£7m/$8m). Amid this speculation, he has expressed that he will make a definitive decision about his future soon.
In an interview with RND, the Bayern star emphasized the importance of maintaining his fitness and delivering strong performances before taking the time to reflect on his options. He also indicated that fans can expect more clarity on his contract situation during the upcoming winter break.
"It's important for me to stay fit and perform to my potential until I have a bit of time to calm down. Then I can take time to think about everything. I think we'll know more during the winter break." said Musiala in a recent interview.
Musiala will next take the field for Germany in their important UEFA Nations League group match against Hungary on Tuesday, after which he will return to club football.
