While defending Premier League title, Manchester City suffered shock as Arsenal gave him a defeat that will be remembered throughout the season. Arsenal defeated Manchester City by the score line of 5-1 with an epic show. After the match came to an end, Erling Haaland was seen indulging into a heated argument with Gabriel Magalhaes as he pointed out towards the Premier League badge.

The last time when Manchester City faced Arsenal at Etihad Stadium things between the clubs started to heat up as Erling Haaland said “stay humble” to Mikel Arteta, Arsenal manager. As the game went on Arsenal were constant threat for Stefan Ortega. With two minutes on clock Martin Odegaard gave Arsenal the opening goal of the match. Heading into the first half Arsenal were leading as Manchester City failed to get themselves on the scoring sheet. As the second half started Erling Haaland score as City leveled the game. But Thomas Partey gave them lead in 56th minute.

Later, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kai Harvertz, and Ethan Nwaneri joined the party to destroy Manchester City. However, after the full-time whistle, there were some words exchanged between Erling Haaland and Gabriel. Erling Haaland showed Gabriel the Premier League logo on his City’s jersey indicating Manchester City has Premier League title and Arsenal has yet to win the the title in recent times. It is said that Haaland said, "You'd love this, eh?"

Wake-up call for Manchester City

The current state between the two clubs indicates that Manchester City will not win the title as they will fail to lift the Premier League fifth time in row. However Arsenal are still in title race with Liverpool as they are only six points behind them. The last time Arsenal won the Premier League title was in 2003/04 season. It was an invincible season for them as they didn’t lose any game to become the champions.

This defeat against Arsenal gave Pep Guardiola and his team a wake-up ahead of UEFA Champions League playoff game against Real Madrid. In recent times both teams have struggled with their form.
