David De Gea's first picture in Florence is out as he signs for Fiorentina

Yesterday evening, a number of sources stated that David De Gea and Fiorentina had personally agreed to terms for a one-year contract with an option to extend. De Gea is a free agent. His first photo in Italy has surfaced after he flew to Florence for his medical examination.

Since his agreement with Manchester United came to end in July 2023, the goalkeeper had been absent from football for more than a year due to his inability to find an exciting assignment. Now, just shy of turning 34, he is returning and attempting a new journey in Serie A.

Alfredo Pedullà, the transfer specialist for Sportitalia, predicts that this deal will last one year and be worth €1 million plus bonuses each season. A second year of extension is also an option, in which case his income would quadruple to €2 million.

In a matter of hours, De Gea was anticipated to travel to Florence for medical testing, as the Viola are starting their next campaign later this month. As soon as he could, the Spanish international arrived to take care of the procedures. He began his footballing journey with Atletico Madrid and in 2011 moved to Manchester United.

Which Fiorentina players would not be with the club this summer?

Bonaventura has officially confirmed his arrival on a free transfer to Al-Shabab of Saudi Arabia.
