Cristiano Ronaldo spoke out after missing a critical penalty in Portugal's Euro 2024 Round of 16 match against Slovenia on Monday (July 1). The Portuguese star squandered an opportunity to put his team ahead after Slovenia gave away a penalty in the 105th minute.

Cristiano Ronaldo stated in the post-match news conference with Sport TV that he is unable to determine if his shot was excellent or terrible. He would have to go over everything again, but he realized that the emotional rollercoaster is all part of sport.

As per Sportskeeda, "Initial sadness and final joy. That's what football brings. Inexplicable moments, eight and eighty, that's what happened today. I had the opportunity to give the national team an advantage, I didn't manage it, I have to review it, I don't know if I shot well or badly." Cristiano admitted.

Cristiano Ronaldo also reminded everyone that he has not missed a single opportunity this year. He also said that the worthy team won since Portugal had more scoring opportunities while Slovenia played conservatively for much of the game.
