According to sources, Mykhailo Mudryk is "desperate" to leave Chelsea in order to receive more regular playing time, and a transfer window in January may hold the key to his departure. Under Enzo Maresca, the Ukrainian, who cost £88.5 million with add-ons to join Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk, has made only one Premier League start this year.

He was given a chance from the outset against Wolves, but was substituted off at halftime after failing to make an impression against Manchester City. Mudryk did not play Saturday at Bournemouth, although he did play 16 minutes as a substitute in the home tie with Crystal Palace.

Even though he started both of the UEFA Conference League play-off games against Servette, Mudryk's tenure at Stamford Bridge has been difficult thus far. In 62 games since joining the Chelsea team from Shakhtar, he only scored seven goals and five assists. The 23-year-old is now 'desperate' to transfer somewhere to obtain more playing time, according to reports and it's speculated that he may depart in January. It is said that Chelsea is "open" to selling Mudryk, and a departure is considered "very possible."

Which teams are interested in signing Mykhailo Mudryk?

Teams from the Premier League along with other European leagues are showing interest in Mudryk. Despite their continued interest in him, Bayern Munich's efforts to take him on loan in January were tempered by the arrival of Vincent Kompany, who took over for Thomas Tuchel this past summer.

Olympique Marseille is one more team vying for Mudryk. Head coach Roberto De Zerbi has been reported to be a "big fan" of the attacker and thinks he can bring out the best in him. The most likely scenario for Mudryk in January is a loan move because teams are typically hesitant to spend large sums of money in the middle of the season.
