Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer gives shocking reply when asked about GOAT debate

Cole Palmer has been in exceptional form in the current season. The English winger has been brilliant for Chelsea, he has scored 16 goals in the PL season so far and is just two goals behind Erling Haaland. Despite his good scoring ability, he could not lead Chelsea to the top 6 position. On Thursday, he became the 200th different player to score a Premier League hat-trick against Manchester United and it was his first hat trick. His performance helped the Blues to win after 12 games against United. 

The score was 2-3 in favour of the Red Devils till the 99th minute of the game, before he scored two late goals inside the span of one minute as the final score was 4-3. The former Manchester City forward was asked about who's the GOAT between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He picked the Argentina World Cup winner as the Greatest of all time (GOAT). The 21-year-old believes that Messi is the most complete player. 

Palmer in 33 appearances has scored 21 goals and provided 12 assists across all competitions for the Blues.  As per the winger, the way the Argentine plays and all the individual awards he has won make him the best player ever and that is what makes him different from others as well. However, both of them have achieved all the possible heights in the game of football. 

Messi and Ronaldo: A rivalry on and off the pitch

CR7 has won every possible trophy except the World Cup and has several individual accolades in his cabinet. At the age of 39, he is still scoring hattricks leading his team and helping his team win games. Messi has scored 826 goals and 363 assists in 1052 career games, while Ronaldo has 885 goals and 250 assists in 1215 appearances. The former has left Europe and joined Major League Soccer (MLS) and is currently out of action due to a hamstring injury. 

He further added, "Messi is clear ahead of Cristiano, but the latter is one of the greatest players ever obviously." There has been a lot of debate among football pundits, former players and current players have different opinions on the GOAT debate and the debate is a never-ending one.
