Ahead of their 1st game in the English Premier League, Manchester City's coach, Pep Guardiola, has come up with a bold statement. Their first game is against Chelsea, which will be full of fun and excitement. City has been the dominating side through the years, and their backbone is Pep, who has been motivating the entire team to give their best. This time, before the game with Chelsea, Guardiola accepted that he loves the competition and is looking forward to it.

"Competition makes me be again in the position where I want to be. In the pre-season I am a little more flat, but the moment we arrive in the competition it ignites something in myself and hopefully the players as well to do it again. Yes, we conquered the Premier League six in seven times, but we start here from zero," said Pep Guardiola during an interview.

Moreover, their coach agreed that the game against Chelsea would be tough for Manchester City. However, he also mentioned that they wouldn't let go of the fighting spirit, which would benefit the team during the game. The interview confirmed that Guardiola is hungry for more wins and wouldn't let any tournament slip away through his hands.

I demand the best on Sunday against Chelsea: Pep Guardiola

While Manchester United coach Pep Guardiola is all in favour of giving his team a bit of rest, he also wants them to give their best in the game against Chelsea on Sunday and get a good start to the tournament. Even though they have won the English Premier League multiple times, his love and passion for the game were quite evident when he said, "Now we have to do it again." The last time these two teams met in Ohio two weeks ago, City won the game 4-2. However, Chelsea took two points off at home and 1-1 at the Etihad.

"I would love to give the players even more time off but I demand the best on Sunday against Chelsea. We know we have to take points as soon as possible. All the six or seven teams are there. You drop a little bit and you will be away. This is the reality I felt from the first season. We proved we can do it, but now we have to do it again,” said Pep Guardiola ahead of their game against Chelsea.
