Carlo Ancelotti to leave in April

As per the reports of Sky Sports, Real Madrid's gaffer Carlo Ancelotti is speculated to leave the club in April after the Copa del Rey finals. The news didn't come as a surprise to the football community, as Ancelotti had earlier announced it to be his last season with Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti has bagged a record of five UCL titles with Real Madrid in his tenure as manager.

Carlo Ancelotti is looking to end his managerial stint on a high by bagging at least one piece of silverware this season. In the post-match conference following the quarter-final defeat, Ancelotti expressed his gratitude to the club and answered the queries surrounding his future.

“Maybe the club decides to replace me and maybe it could be this year or next year when my contract is over. But when I am done here, I will be grateful to this club. That could be tomorrow, 10 days, one month or in one year, but if my contract ends or doesn’t end, I really don’t care,” Ancelotti said.

Carlo Ancelotti has nothing left to win with the Galácticos. He has been very successful during his two stints at Santiago Bernabeu. Ancelotti has won 3 UCLs, 2 FIFA Club World Cups, the the European Super Cup, Liga, Copa Del Rey and Spanish Super Cups

Real Madrid has been in search of Ancelotti's successor for the past few months. It was speculated the club's management was interested in the profile of Bayer Leverkusen's manager Xavi Alonso. It was also rumoured that Madrid was in talks with former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to take over the reins from Ancelotti.
