According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Brighton intends to make a fresh offer this summer for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall of Leicester City. When the Seagulls attempted to expand their midfield possibilities in the transfer market in January, offers for Dewsbury-Hall were turned down.

Although the Foxes are expected to cash in on the 25-year-old this summer after revealing a £90 million deficit in their most recent finances, the Premier League team is still very interested in bringing him to the Amex. Due to his exceptional achievements in the Championship so far, Brighton is becoming more and more optimistic that they will be able to get the English midfielder.

Football Insider reported a few weeks ago that Dewsbury-Hall, who had a price tag of at least £40 million previously, would be on the market as cheap as £30 million during the summer.

Having made 43 appearances this season, the inventive midfielder has emerged as one of the English Championship's standout performers, tallying 12 goals plus 14 assists. Because of his success, he was nominated for the league's Player of the Year award; however, Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville narrowly defeated him for the prize. Since Leicester was relegated last season, Dewsbury-Hall has drawn interest from a number of Premier League teams. Football Insider revealed a few weeks ago that Brighton is now competing with Tottenham and Brentford to sign him.

Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi frustrated after humbling loss to Manchester City

Coach Roberto de Zerbi of Brighton acknowledges that his team gave up soft goals in their loss to Manchester City. Brighton presently struggles in the bottom half of the English Premier League after being annihilated 4-0 yesterday.

The Brighton & Hove Albion manager said, “We played against one of the best teams in the world, we tried to play wth our DNA, with our character, respecting our qualities. We conceded all the goals in a bad way. We made mistakes but we have to accept the mistakes because, for Valentin Barco, it was the first game in the Premier League. He was the best player on the pitch for us but he made mistakes on the third and fourth goals.”
