Brazil legend Ronaldinho reminisces his time in prison

Former FC Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho spoke about how his time inside the Paraguayan prison was amazing and how he had fun during that time.

For the first time, Ronaldinho has discussed his incarceration and his activities there, including playing soccer and signing autographs. The Brazilian icon, who has been undergoing house arrest at a Paraguayan hotel since April 7, expects that the issue involving the bogus passport, which led to his month-long incarceration, will be resolved more quickly.

The 40-year-old stated in a candid conversation with the Paraguayan newspaper ABC Color that he never thought he would find himself in this predicament. He claimed to reporters that he was unaware that the passports he and his brother used to enter Paraguay were fraudulent.

He said, "We were shocked when we found out that the documents were not legal. From that moment, our goal has been to cooperate with the courts to clarify all this. I have faith. I always pray that things go well and God willing this will end well soon."

The former Paris Saint-Germain playmaker added, "When I learned that I was going to prison, I was very hurt. I never imagined that I would be in such a situation. "All my life I have tried to reach the highest professional levels and offer happiness to people with my football"

“I can say that my time there was good” : Ronaldinho

When the Brazilian superstar was questioned about his time in prison. He spoke about how the guards were nice to him and what he used to do daily inside the jail. 

The former FC Barcelona star said that, "I thought they were going to hit me and do all the terrible things that usually happen in prison. But instead, they called the guards to organize soccer matches and asked me to do some tricks to entertain them. The morning after my arrest, we were taken out to play a five-a-side match. The guards and some prison officials came to watch the game with the cameras on; everyone had a great day. I can say that my time there was good."
