The Turkey vs Czech Republic game was surely a troublesome one for the referee as he had to shell out 18 yellow cards as well as two red cards over the course of 90 minutes.

Turkey defeated the Czech Republic during their last group match to earn a last-16 tie versus Austria thanks to a stoppage-time goal by Cenk Tosun.ย The Czechs pressed for victory during the frantic closing minutes of the match because they needed to prevail in Wednesday's decisive group match to avoid elimination. However, they had defensive lapses, which allowed former Everton attacker Tosun to cut inside and score.

After catching Arda Guler by putting his studs up, Antonin Barak was sent off and received a second yellow card about halfway through the first half, which did not aid the Czech Republic's chances of winning.ย Turkey had trouble breaking through their opponents initially and ended the opening half without a single attempt on goal, but six minutes after the half, their fervent supporters went wild as captain Hakan Calhanoglu's strike into the bottom corner drove the crowd into frenzy.

The Czech Republic had to score to tie the score, and Tomas Soucek, the midfielder for West Ham United, launched home from six yards . After that, it was wide open as both teams went for the win, with Turkey securing it during the 94th minute confirming their place in the tournament.ย 

Right before the conclusion, there were wild scenes between the two teams, with Tomas Chory receiving a red card and another player for the Czech Republic being sent off. However, the players from Turkey were able to enjoy their thrilling victory and eagerly anticipate the knockout stages.

Fight breaks out between Turkey and Czechia at the end of the game

Following Turkey's 2-1 victory in their UEFA Euro 2024 Group F encounter on Wednesday inside the Volksparkstadion Hamburg in Germany, a brawl broke out amongst the players of Czechia and Turkey. On July 2, Turkey will play Austria, the top team in Group D, to advance to the quarterfinals, where they could play Romania or the Netherlands.

Following the conclusion of play, a furious altercation broke out between the two sides. Turkish youth player Arda Guler was involved in this altercation, and the referee promptly booked him. The Czech captain, Tomas Soucek, was also given a warning. Istvan Kovacs, the referee, issued two red and eighteen yellow cards in total.
