The Gunners are gunning close to signing a new deal with young English talent Myles-Lewis Skelly. Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, is of the opinion that the young midfielder is an important asset for the Gunners moving forward.
It has been reported by trusted sources that Myles Lewis-Skelly is happy with his performance and stay at Arsenal. Both parties are very close to signing a new long-term contract.

Famous football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano took to his X, formerly Twitter to break this news. Romano revealed that Andrea Berta is holding discussions with Myles Lewis-Skelly regarding a new contract. It is reported that Andrea Berta has asserted that Arsenal understands the edge Myles Lewis-Skelly brings to the table for the Gunners.
Myles Lewis-Skelly signed his first contract when he turned 17 in October 2023, with Nwaneri and committed himself to Arsenal in March 2024. Both agreements were relatively short-term, as FA regulations state that players under 18 cannot sign contracts that exceed three years in length.
The youngster was a key contributor in Arsenal's quarter-final victory over reigning champions Real Madrid in UCL. Skelly competed on the field for the entire 90 minutes. He completed 83 percent of passes and made 5 clearances along with winning 11 duels.
Myles Skelly has represented the Gunners in 17 matches across club competitions since he joined them last year. He also scored a stunning goal against Manchester City in the reverse fixture of the Premier League. Following a spell of impressive performances, Skelly got his first national call-up this year. He also scored a goal on his debut for England.
The midfielder is following in the footsteps of Bukayo Saka and is emerging as one of the most important youth players in Arsenal's system.
