Some reports from the Daily Mail claimed that Mikel Arteta's side, Arsenal, is eyeing to sign the young forward Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
The Gunners have already secured three signings this summer with deals for David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori, and Mikel Merino.
They have now set their sights on an English winger who has been delivering impressive performances for Newcastle United.
While the Gunners are eager to bring the Magpies star on board, any potential move for the former Everton winger will be postponed until next summer. Gordon is content at St James’ Park and is currently exploring the option of extending his contract with the club.
Newcastle United does not plan to part ways with one of their key players shortly.

Arsenal's Director's eye on Gordon
After an outstanding 2023-24 season, Gordon has caught the eye of several top Premier League clubs. With 11 goals and 10 assists, it was his best season yet.
Despite his contentment at Newcastle and his family's settled life on Tyneside, Arsenal's sporting director, Edu, has placed the England international on his list of targets. It remains to be seen whether the Gunners will make a move for him next summer.
Newcastle United refuse to let go of Gordon
Newcastle United are determined to keep Anthony Gordon in their squad and are willing to offer him a new and improved deal to get ahead of the other clubs, who seem interested in signing him.
Gordon has been off to a good start this season, where he scored against Bournemouth, resulting in a 1-1 draw last week.
Newcastle United were trailing up until the 77th minute when the winger scored a banger to get his side back into the match.
