Antonella Roccuzzo, Lionel Messi's wife, has shared her positive thoughts on David Beckham's Major League Soccer venture, Inter Miami.

Beckham significantly raised the profile of the MLS when he made the groundbreaking switch from Real Madrid to LA Galaxy in 2007. As a result, he not only secured a lucrative contract but also obtained the opportunity to acquire a future franchise for just £20 million.

Seven years ago, in 2014, it was confirmed that David Beckham had chosen Miami as the location for his new soccer team, Inter Miami CF, which began playing in the MLS in 2020. Last year, the club made headlines in the US by signing global icon Messi, a move that echoed Beckham's own impactful career choices.

The endorsement of Miami by Messi's wife further solidifies Beckham's decision to establish a team in this vibrant coastal city.

Antonella Messi recently shared her positive impressions of Miami, emphasizing its beautiful landscape, pleasant climate, and welcoming people. She noted that the city and its residents have surpassed their expectations and that their children have easily adapted to the new environment.

“What I love the most about Miami is the climate, the people, and the landscape,” Roccuzzo said.

“All this makes you feel like you’re living in perpetual summer. The biggest surprise for us was the warm welcome we received when we arrived. We knew it would be special, but it exceeded all our expectations." - she added

Additionally, Messi expressed her fondness for the city, recognizing the positive atmosphere fostered by Beckham and his franchise's location in Florida.

“I came here to play and to keep enjoying soccer, which is what I loved my whole life, and I choose this place because of all those things,” Messi told reporters last year after moving to Miami.
