The prospect of selling attacker Victor Osimhen to Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia has now been raised by Serie A powerhouse Napoli. Victor Osimhen is reportedly waiting for PSG, Arsenal, or Chelsea, but according to Sky Sport Italia, Al-Ahli has made an offer of €70 million for the midfielder, which Napoli may be willing to entertain.

Osimhen is still a player for Napoli as of right now, though it's unclear how long he will stay with the team. According to Gianluca di Marzio, Osimhen is once again the subject of intense attention from Al Ahli, and Napoli is willing to sell the footballer to them.

The player is still hesitant about the move, but it seems like there would be requirements to reach a settlement for the Nigerian and finalise the deal with Napoli. With him, there is currently no financial arrangement. The player turned down the club's initial attempt, so it's unclear if Al Ahli would try again with a better and larger offer. Osimhen might then reevaluate his plans for the future in light of it.

The striker agreed a new deal in December 2023 having the specific goal of leaving during the summer in order to use his €130 million release clause, but no one has come close to fulfilling that guarantee.

Why does Victor Osimhen not want to play in the Saudi Pro League?

The key issue is that the Nigerian international is content to wait for a last-minute offer from Chelsea, Arsenal, or Paris Saint-Germain since he does not want to relocate to the Saudi Pro League.

Chelsea are not very high on his list of objectives since he would rather take part in the UEFA Champions League, especially if Napoli can sign Romelu Lukaku apart from Osimhen. Although things are getting tense, the Partenopei are aiming to get €100m in addition to bonuses for the Nigerian. No team would want to make such a high-profile signing this late into the transfer window.
