Alisha Lehmann talks about her couple transfer along with Douglas Luiz to Juventus

Alisha Lehmann completed a spectacular "couple" move from Aston Villa to Juventus, realizing her "dream" of playing alongside her partner Douglas Luiz. Just one week following her boyfriend Luiz inked a five-year deal with Juventus, Lehmann signed a three-year contract as well. Given that the couple will remain together after moving from Birmingham to Turin, this is among the most unusual couple transfers in the history of international football.

Lehmann left Villa after three productive seasons to sail to Italy. The 25-year-old is keen to demonstrate her abilities in the Italian top division, believing that her time in the WSL has matured her.

Lehmann's arrival is anticipated to improve Juventus' attacking alternatives and give them newfound motivation to contend for the championship in the following year. Last season, Juventus placed second in Serie A Femminile, 11 points below league winners Roma. It would be interesting to see how they perform with Lehmann in their ranks as well.

After completing her transfer to Juventus, Alisha Lehmann spoke via the club website as she said, "For Douglas and me to be together in the same club is a dream. We have often played in different cities, so being able to have these great adventures in the same place is something wonderful."

She said, "I have spent my entire career in England and have learnt a lot over these years. I arrived there as a little girl, now I am more mature. In the last few years, I learnt to understand the moments within the game, and I believe I can bring what I've learned through these experiences to Juve".

Lehmann further said, "First of all, I inject pace: I like dribbling, sprinting and of course scoring goals. But I also like providing assists for my teammates. I am happy to be a team player, which is another characteristic I have learnt to adopt over my career”.
