Argentina football star Alejandro Garnacho is in the eye of the storm. There is a short video across various social media platforms where the youngster could be seen sitting with Lionel Messi. The veteran Argentina star could be seen in tears during the COPA America final with Garnacho looking on at the actions on the field.

In the early part of the video, Garnacho can be seen looking past Messi while fulfilling his duties on the bench. Garnacho can be seen intently looking at the game and then looking down at his hands while Messi was sitting on the bench not far from him.

This prompted one fan to take to X and write “Alejandro Garnacho ignoring Messi all game. Proper Ronaldo fanboy (claps hands)”. The Manchester United star replied to the fan with a facepalm emoji. In the tweet, Garnacho could be seen hugging Messi ending all speculations about him ignoring the Argentina legend.

It is a well-known fact that Alejandro Garnacho is a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. His celebrations during his academy days were similar to CR7’s ‘Siuu’. Garancho was once asked to pick his favourite between Messi and Ronaldo. The youngster had said “Messi or Ronaldo? They’re both amazing and great for me, I’m admiring them both same.”

Sir Alex Ferguson praises Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson praised young duo Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo. The young duo have been sensational since their formative years and have shown the same form for their side ever since their promotion to the senior team.

Sir Alex Ferguson as quoted by football website Goal.com said “It’s the foundation, isn’t it? It’s the heart and soul of what Manchester United has been since the days of Sir Matt Busby, who started the whole process of trusting young players to play”

The former Manchester United manager also said “They’re young. What they’re showing at the moment is the composure and confidence to play in the first team, and not be daunted by it. In a way, it shows you the kind of courage they have,”

Manchester United won their first pre-season game when they beat Scottish side Rangers 2-0. Amad Diallo and Joe Hugill scored the goals as Lenny Yoro made his first-ever appearance for the club since his transfer from Lillee.
