The INEOS led revolution at Manchester United is set to continue. After signing Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, the club is close to signing their third player of the season. According to reports that emerged overnight, Manuel Ugarte has agreed personal terms with Manchester United.
Fabrizio Romano broke the news last night that the Uruguayan player has agreed to join Manchester United. The only thing that is left to do is agree the price with Paris Saint Germain. The French club as per reports are close to signing Joao Neves from Benfica ahead of the new season.
The Red Devils though will have to sell one of their midfield player. Scott McTominay has got bids from Fulham so far and there are few more other clubs looking to sign the Scottish star. There were reports that Casemiro could leave but the suitors from Saudi Arabia have cooled their interests.
Leny Yoro signing confirmed by Manchester United
Young defender Leny Yoro finally signed on the dotted lines for Manchester United. The 18 year old who signed from Lillee for 52 million Euros has been given a contract for five years with an option of one extra year.
After signing the contract, Leny Yoro said “Signing for a club with the stature and ambition of Manchester United so early in my career is an incredible honour.. Since my first conversations with the club, they set out a clear plan for how I can develop in Manchester as part of this exciting project, and showed a lot of care for me and my family”
The young defender also said “I know about the history of young players at Manchester United and feel it can be the perfect place to reach my potential and achieve my ambitions, together with my new team-mates. I cannot wait to get started”
Manuel Ugarte has had a great COPA America 2024 with his Uruguayan side. The former champions reached the semi-finals before getting knocked out by Colombia. The 23-year-old is known for his combative skills in the midfield. Ugarte is being looked at as a great addition to the side and play with Kobbie Mainoo.
