Alejandro Garnacho had the opportunity to contribute as Manchester United faced a difficult match in their last outing at the FA Cup. The team battled for 120 intense minutes at Old Trafford but ultimately fell short in a penalty shootout against Fulham, ending their FA Cup title defence. Despite a strained squad with several injuries, Ruben Amorim managed to field a bench with seven substitutes, which included Garnacho, who was brought on early in the second half.

Micah Richards has asserted that Garnacho improved United's performance when he came off the bench, bringing essential pace and intensity to the team's attacking play.

However, despite trying his best, Garnacho has not found the net in 21 appearances for United, and this ongoing lack of scoring is only fueling the team's goal crisis.

Last week raised some serious attitude concerns when Garnacho walked down the Old Trafford tunnel after being substituted against Ipswich Town, indicating potential issues that needed to be addressed.

Garnacho displayed a bit of frustration during the match against Everton after beginning the game on the bench, leading to speculations about a disagreement with Amorim.

To foster team unity and address any concerns, Garnacho organized a team dinner. Additionally, he has reached out to Manchester United fans to express his apologies following the FA Cup defeat. He wasn't alone in this, as teammate Joshua Zirzkee also expressed regret after missing a vital penalty in the shootout.

“Sorry United fans," Garnacho captioned his Instagram story.

Amorim is facing a shortage of attacking options after the January transfer window. The departures of Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa and Antony on loan to Real Betis have left him with a limited strike force consisting of only Rasmus Hojlund, Zirkzee, Bruno Fernandes, and Garnacho. With Amad Diallo's season cut short due to an ankle injury, it is imperative that Garnacho steps up and contributes more goals to the team's efforts.

Manchester United's manager, Ruben Amorim, has constantly expressed his confidence that the Argentine winger will succeed at Old Trafford, but his confidence has yet to compound into actual performance.

Manchester United will square off against Real Sociedad in an important UEFA Europa League first-leg fixture, and Garnacho is expected to play his part well as United continue their quest to win silverware this season.
