Former Udinese coach Gabriele Cioffi is set to travel to Jeddah to sign a short-term contract as the new head coach of Al-Ahli. According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, this decision may be part of a broader strategy, as Cioffi is anticipated to serve as a transitional figure while the club prepares for a potential future appointment of Max Allegri.

The video released last evening shows Cioffi making preparations for the journey, signalling a new chapter for both him and the club.
Al Ahli, featuring notable stars like Franck Kessie, Riyad Mahrez, and Roberto Firmino, currently holds the 5th position in the Saudi Pro League. To guide the team through the remainder of the season, Gabriele Cioffi, known for his previous coaching stints at Udinese and Verona, has stepped in as the interim coach.
Additionally, it's been reported that Massimiliano Allegri is exploring opportunities with the Belgian national team and another Saudi club, Al Shabab, after concluding his tenure at Juventus in May 2024.

Al-Ahli eyes Juventus's iconic manager Allegri for long-term
According to renowned football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, both Allegri and Al-Ahli have reached a complete agreement on all contract details, and an official announcement will be made in the coming days. Allegri will officially take on his new role starting this summer.
At the end of 15 rounds, Al-Ahli stands at the 5th spot in the Saudi Pro League and is looking to make inroads into the top 3 positions.
They have amassed 26 points in 15 fixtures, which includes 8 wins, 2 draws, and 5 losses. They will next face Al-Ettifaq on 20th January.
