Achraf Hakimi is set to prolong his stay at Paris Saint Germain: Reports

The Moroccan fullback has made his commitment known to his club by extending his contract until June 2029, as per reports of 'L'Équipe'. This extension adds three more years to his current agreement, ensuring that Luis Enrique retains one of the finest defenders in the world. 

Since August, everything has been organized under Luis Campos, and an announcement is imminent. All salary details and agreements are firmly in place says the reports.

Hakimi's journey to Paris Saint Germain 

Achraf Hakimi joined Parc des Princes in 2021 and quickly established himself as a key player in the team, contributing significantly under the management of Pochettino, Galtier, and currently Enrique. Coming from Real Madrid's youth system, his path to success was full of challenges, as the club had reservations about his potential. However, after a productive loan period at Borussia Dortmund, where he honed his skills over two seasons, PSG recognized his talent and made a substantial investment of €43 million to bring him on board. A year later, with the arrival of Nasser Al Khelaïfi and his vision for the club, Hakimi transitioned to the City of Love for a record transfer fee of €68 million. The Fullback has netted 14 goals in 94 appearances for the Paris-based club. 

This season, Achraf has been a key player for Luis Enrique, starting in thirteen of the fifteen matches played by Paris so far. His presence on the field has been vital, especially in the Champions League, where he has not missed a single minute and scored an important goal that equalized the game at home. His offensive skills are evident, as he has assisted multiple goals this season. Additionally, Achraf played an important role in the team's impressive 6-0 victory over Montpellier in Ligue 1.
