Xbox set to launch a new Cipher series controller

Xbox unveils the new Pulse Cipher Special Edition wireless controller featuring an incredible translucent body. The controllers will be available starting February 4.

Shortly after leaks from Delabs, Xbox unveiled their new controller in the Cipher series, the Pulse Cipher Special Edition (wireless). This is the third controller following Sky Cipher and Ghost Cipher which were blue and grey. The controller features a red finish with a translucent body, similar to the previous editions.

While the company may not be beating PS5 in console sales, Xbox always had some of the best controller customization options. New designs are often available with many fans even making an entire collection. People can also make a custom design.

The Pulse Cipher kicks off 2025 and there are a lot more to come in the following months. As for the price, the latest addition saw a little price bum at $74.99 compared to the previous entries which launched at $69.99. Pre-orders in some places are already available, with a planned release date of February 4, 2025.

Visiting the page from India reveals the availability roughly a month later starting March 9. Do note that these are simple controllers with alternate designs. They work similarly to a regular Xbox wireless controller which can be much cheaper.

A New Haptic controller also reportedly in works

Apart from the Pulse Cipher Special Edition, Delabs also mentioned another controller codenamed “Sebile”. This one reportedly features haptic motors similar to PlayStation DualSense controllers. These are simply rumours, but it will be very interesting if true.

It’s hard to know if the company will choose a new layout for ‘Sebile’ or roll with the default Xbox design. The addition of haptic may also imply that the Xbox Studious might be planning to make a game that might take advantage of this feature. For now, the people are quite excited for
