Ever since Microsoft decided to go multi-platform, things are seemingly moving quite fast with more Xbox exclusive games reportedly coming to the PlayStation 5. New Microsoft games have already been announced for PS5 and as per the insider reports, games like Gears of War, Hellblade 2, and even Halo are set to land on rival consoles.

As reported by Windows Central, popular insiders have reported that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection will also be coming to other consoles like the PS5 and Nintendo (Switch 2). Their sources also reported something similar with Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology, and Gears of War 1 Ultimate Edition are also included in the list.

The reports came after Xbox head, Phil Spencer said there are no ‘red lines’ when it comes to Xbox games on different platforms. This came during an interview with Bloomberg when Phil was asked about the company bringing their games multi-platform. Sea of Thieves reportedly did quite well with the PS5 launch and the upcoming games are expected to do even better.

Xbox may also get some new games

With so many exclusives leaving the platform, Xbox fans may be worried about what’s the point or what they get in return. While PlayStation isn’t ready to share just yet, reports also suggest that Square Enix will be bringing the Final Fantasy 7 Remake to Xbox this year.

The decision to go multi-platform came last year and as per the rumors, the company may start bringing their games across Xbox. Gamers are also likely to see Day 1 releases from Square Enix across both PC and Xbox, although, these are simply rumors until an official announcement.

While video games being accessible across multiple platforms is a win for the community, the Xbox hardware in general is left in a strange place. With no exclusives, it’s hard to imagine the device will survive. Perhaps, Xbox planning to merge the Windows and Xbox OS to create something new might be the gameplan here.
