In recent reports, Microsoft confirms that many Ubisoft games have been crashing in the PCs, which include Star Wars Outlaws, and Assassin’s Creed entries. This is when the Microsoft Windows 11 versions have been updated to 42H2. There is a temporary work around that is on the go for Star Wars Outlaws, the others are under work, as has been said by Ubisoft and Microsoft.

The company had taken this step after receiving complaints from the Ubisoft games that the PCs were getting crashed after the new Windows update. Microsoft confirms an update hold which they have done last evening. The two companies seem to be working closely to fix the issue. It is advised by Microsoft to not to work on any manual fixes, and not to install the game until they resolve the issue with Ubisoft.

Microsoft uses a ‘compatibility hold’

Both the companies have been working towards finding a means to help getting to the root cause of the problem that has occurred. Microsoft uses a ‘Compatibility Hold’ to the game update right now to stop the users from undergoing an update, leading to unnecessary troubles. In cases where the gaming performances are involved, it is often seen that such problems have been occurring with the software showing the complexity of the third-party applications as well.

Players have witnessed several problems relating to the same. This includes issues during starting up the game, active gameplay scenes aur loading screens. The users most often have also encountered problems like massive lags and black screens which have resulted to stopping of the game midway, disrupting the gaming experience for the users.

The list of the games that has been affected is confirmed by Microsoft and Ubisoft. They include:

-Assassin’s Creed Origins

-Star Wars Outlaws

-Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

-Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

-Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
