It seems only handing a ban isn’t only enough as Deadlock, Valve’s upcoming game, is now letting players turn cheaters into a frog. This option is to be introduced after an updated that allows players in the current match to either ban the cheater or turn them into a frog for the remainder of the match and then handing them the ban.

“When a user is detected as cheating, during the game session the opponents will be given a choice between banning the user immediately and ending the match or turning the cheater into a frog for the rest of the game and then banning them afterwards,” the official patch notes revealed.

Judging by how funny the option is, of course the majority of the players are choosing to turn those cheaters into harmless frogs. Once transformed, the player will remain as the frog, unable to do anything except to roam and eventually die to gunfire.

This came after an initial wave of cheaters when Deadlock was officially announced and several people received access to play the current development build. Despite that game being in early access. It remains to be seen if the anti-cheat remains effective and if yes, possibly of adding it to other games.

CS2 fans fuming over the love Deadlock is getting

While Deadlock players are having a blast, CS2 fans are lamenting over the fact that the new game is taking priority over one of the biggest esports title in the world. With the ongoing cheating situation, fans are claiming that they could also use a new anti-cheat.

The matter was made worse after an ex-CSGO developer revealed that this system was previously developed for Counter Strike. Instead of frogs, if cheaters were detected, they would turn into one of the chickens roaming around the map.
