Valorant just released a Patch 9.05 that addressed multiple bugs in the game, including maps, weapons and characters. Alongside that, Chamber and Astra have also received a buff in order to match up to other agents in terms of their roles.

Agent buffs

Chamber - Teleport radius increased from 13m to 18m

Rendezvous is a crucial ability for Chamber, allowing players to quickly teleport back to safety. However, a 13m radius wasn’t doing justice for someone whose gimmick is getting information. The increase to 18m will allow players much more flexibility, even in small flanks.

Astra - Stars increased from 4 to 5

Another simple buff similar to Chamber, increasing the number of stars allow Astra to have a little more flexibility on smokes and trap placement. This allows her to cover more crucial defence points without wasting time going back and forth in her astral form.

Bug fixes

Apart from these buffs, most other changes in the latest Valorant are small fixes to either maps or the game client. Abyss map saw the devs fix the spot where players could land on a ledge that is out of bounds. Icebox saw a fix to the door frame in A Pipes where players were previously able to shoot through. Lotus, Sunset and the Range saw minor changes.

PC received some small performance update along with Breeze is entering Unrated and Swift Play queues. Riot Voice Evaluation (RVE) experience also saw some changes in certain regions. As for consoles, the Progression Screen will display Agent gear if there are open slots alongside Battlepass and other things.

Agents, especially the latest addition Vyse, saw multiple fixes on console, while Omen and KAY/O also saw some fixes.

Vyse

  • Fixed an issue where KAY/O'S ZERO/POINT was destroyed by Shear.
  • Fixed an issue where Shear's collision would linger after being placed on sloped surfaces.
  • Fixed an issue where Shear could extend over gaps improperly.
  • Fixed instances where Shear's destruction voice line was not properly playing.
  • Fixed instances of Arc Rose voice line being cut off prematurely.
  • Fixed an issue where the combat report would show the incorrect abilities for Vyse.
  • Fixed rare client crash instances related to Steel Garden. [PS5]

Omen

  • Fixed an issue where From the Shadows was not cancellable with certain bindings.
  • Fixed an issue where Dark Cover would move slower than intended.

KAY/O

  • Fixed an issue where Kayo's Ability HUD was ordered incorrectly.
