Released on March 20, since the beginning of the franchise, fans are eagerly waiting to see Assassin’s Creed set their title in Japan. After multiple obstacles, topped with rumours and controversies, Assassin’s Creed, when released, had a lot of positive reviews with large scale popularity. It has set a record by beating the player count of both Odyssey and Origins on the launch day.

The developers are quite happy with the progress and have promised to bring in more updates and patches with the game’s expansion as well. Reports suggest that Claws of Awaji, the game’s first expansion, will be released in the later half of the year 2025. Digital sales have come to a standstill in many regions, while now the players are choosing to get hold of the physical copies of the newest Ubisoft title.

Assassin's Creed Shadows surpasses three million player count

As per PushSquare, the game is holding the top position in the UK’s latest physical game chart. Nearly 84% of the copies have been sold for PlayStation 5. The title of action-adventure has been drawing attention of the fans in the UK, resulting in more copies of the game being sold in a week than Star Wars Outlaw being sold in three months. Ubisoft’s game has shown commendable results and the developers are extremely pleased with it as well.

In a week after the grand release, Assassin’s Creed Shadows was able to surpass nearly three million player count and recorded a second-highest sale in the history of the franchise on Day 1, just after Valhalla. The expansion of the game is likely going to be free, which will have content of 10 additional hours, alongside new weapons for the main characters in the game.
