Assassin’s Creed Shadows launch was good, much better than people anticipated with all the controversy and multiple delays. The game launched to one million players on launch which quickly reached two million as the second day concluded. AC Shadows also made a new all-time concurrent player count record for the franchise on Steam.
With that said, the developers working at Ubisoft decided to acknowledge the community's support for the game. “Thank you for your ongoing enthusiasm and support since our announcement last year. The road has been long and challenging at times, but we deeply appreciate your patience, energy, and love. It truly means the world to us, and your passion pushes and inspires us every day,” the post wrote.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows devs overwhelmed with positive response
In a separate Reddit post on the Assassin's Creed subreddit, a developer account posted a response to all the feedback they received about the game since its launch on March 20th and made sure that the developers were listening to everyone.
“While we don’t reply directly, please know we’re listening. The entire Dev Team has been reading your posts — the celebrations, the feedback, the theories — and it’s been inspiring. It fuels us. And it helps us keep improving. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. This is just the beginning for Shadows, and we're thrilled to see the game evolve with you by our side,” the dev team stated.

First hotfix fixes stability issues and photo mode
Along with their thanks to the community, the developers have also dropped the first Hotfix for the game which addresses some stability issues in different areas across the game. Along with that, there’s also a fix for the game crashing while using the photo mode. The update is around 1.5 GB to 9 GB depending on the platform.
