The first day of ‘The Grind’ at Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 saw group 1 & 2 play their respective three matches. While a few veteran teams did shine, there were a lot of underdogs who were also on a quest to prove themselves.
Blind Esports takes over Group 1
Group 1 saw Blind Esports show newbies how it's done by securing a win and keeping a good finish count, securing them the top spot in their group. Trailing behind were underdogs like Rivalry Esports and Team Excellent 4 who also managed to secure a win, however, did not quite reach the level of Blind Esports.

Cratic Esports' outstanding performance
As for Group 2, Cratic Esports dominated the competition with two back-to-back wins across three matches. While the opening match was secured by Team Mayhem, Cratic got their hold on the remaining two and claimed the top spot on the leaderboard.
Despite securing a win, Team Mayhem still finished in fourth spot. The next two matches saw Mayhem out of the game quite early. As a result, Orangutan and Team Evoke gained a lead on them with more number of successful fights.
