Team Spirit are now locked in for the CS2 BLAST Premier Spring Finals after taking down Team Vitality with some incredible outplays. While Spirit has faced other top-tier teams multiple times now, they haven’t had a chance to face Vitality that much across recent events.
The last time these teams went head-on on, was Intel Extreme Masters Dallas, where Vitality crushed Spirit in the semifinals. The recent match saw Spirit returning to the favour with sh1ro and Donk topping the kill feed with multiple opening frags and clutches.
A slow start for Team Spirit
The start of the first match in the best of three seems like a repeat of IEM Dallas, and while Spirit recovered immensely in the second half, Vitality had the round advantage and managed to close the game before Spirit could reach overtime.
However, the team managed to keep the comeback alive in the second match. Spirit secured multiple impossible-looking retakes and even managed to win an eco round, giving Vitality a hard time in their map pick. The second half saw Vitality failing to do the same, losing opening duels resulting in multiple save call.

The third map saw Vitality take the initial lead. While Spirit recovered a bit, the real game started in the second half as sh1ro opened up with a quad kill. Fans saw some big brain moves from Spirit with multiple fakes, forcing Vitality to save, which was also unsuccessful in some crucial rounds despite Vitality having a man advantage multiple times.

With this win, the spirit is now one step away from securing the BLAST Premier World Finals. Their next match is against Navi who defeated Virtus.pro and move on to the grand finals. The last few matches between Navi and Team Spirit saw the young ones coming out as victors. It remains to be seen if Navi can break free from that or will once again fall.
