After taking down MOUZ in a nail-biting upper bracket final, Eternal Fire has managed to secure BetBoom Dacha Belgrade grand final for CS2 against Team Spirit. This was also a redemption match for Eternal Fire as the first-ever game they lost was against MOUZ after which the team had a flawless run to the grand final.

With this loss, MOUZ also lost their chance to secure a back-to-back championship along with a re-match against Team Spirit. The grand final will be played as best of five and will mark the end of the week-long tournament, with the winner taking home $250,000.

A clean sweep for Eternal Fire

After their previous encounter, fans were sure the match would pan out the same, but people saw a complete 360 from Eternal Fire. The team already started strong with the opening map taking 6 back to back rounds while MOUZ finally managed to close the first half with a handful of rounds.

The second half saw a recovery from MOUZ and a small hope for a comeback, but Eternal Fire managed to chip away a few rounds and started the upper bracket finals with a lead. The following map saw both teams in a checkmate, with MOUZ managing to bring the game to match point.

However, before they could close the match in their favour, Eternal Fire pulled them into a double overtime. After a spree of exchanging rounds, Eternal Fire managed to close the game and send MOUZ back home.

Their victory was a well-thought-out plan that started with a map veto and players in unconventional positions to throw MOUZ out of the loop. This was important as the team would have likely taken Eternal Fire down with ease once again if they brought them the same game.
