Team Soul begins their second day of the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Finals by defeating the top team from Day 1 Orangutan. Not only that, they have also maintained a good finisher ratio and are now closely trailing Orangutan in the second spot on the leaderboard.

Starting their onslaught early, Team Soul took out the entire 8Bit during the Powerplay to gain an early lead. This has been quite the trend among teams as many competitors try to secure a head start early on and then play passively until the endgame. This is due to the structure of the game that punishes late finishers if the team does not secure a lot of them.

The rest of the game saw Team Soul roaming around looking for a few easy finishers and trying to get a good positioning for the final few zones. As the battle raged on, an open circle with higher ground gave Team Soul plenty of advantage against the remaining teams. Orangutans, who recently came out of a fight with Entity, were an easy target, leading to a 24-point chicken dinner for Soul.

Orangutan retains their crown

Following the conclusion of Day 2 Match 1, Orangutan remains the top team due to having one of the highest number of finisher counts and multiple top-three finishes on Day 1. This allowed the team to walk away safely for now, but this has allowed others to close the gap.

A few other teams like Entity, Carnival Gaming and Gods Reign also put up a great performance but sadly did not manage to secure as many position points. Carnival Gaming retains their third spot, while Gods Reign sees a bump in the standings. On the other hand, 8Bit and Global Esports are still struggling, with a chance for a comeback slipping with each match.
