After finishing in the top three twice, Orangutan have finally secured a chicken dinner and top spot on the leaderboard in the final game of BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Finals Day 1. In order to do that, the team took a slower approach compared to their usually gameplay style of jumping into fights.
However, the win was handed to the team for free as the other two teams Gods Reign and Mogo Esports finished each other even before Orangutan could take part in the fight. In a sense, this could be seen as the culmination of their hard work that provided them free points that help them create space between them and other teams on the leaderboard.
Day 1 in general saw a shift in rankings compared to the League Week and Playoffs. While a few teams have managed to keep up a good performance all around, several others like Carpe Diem, Global Esports, Team XSpark and Raven Esports have struggled to put finishers on the leaderboard.
On the other hand, Team Soul and Carnival Gaming have started to bring the heat. The teams who were once seen struggling have now started to show their true power. Fans hope that they manage to keep this up for the next two days, which will be crucial to secure BGMS Season 3.
