Star Wars writers roped in for the new Netflix Assassin's Creed TV series

Popular Streaming platform Netflix is planning to bring the Assassin’s Creed game into a real-time TV series. Though the Assassin's Creed movie didn't go well with the fans, Netflix plans to bring the action and adventure to the OTT platform soon. 

To make the story perfect, Netflix reportedly roped in Star Wars and Station Eleven writers. Bringing the famous action thriller game into a web series is too difficult, so there is a big requirement for proven talent.

Emily st John Mandel is brought in as one of those writers. She is the writer for the award-winning fiction novelist of Station Eleven and The Glass Hotel. She is also the Executive Story Editor of PlayStation’s God of War series. 

Sanaz Toossi is another writer who worked as a playwright and screenwriter. Tom Hemmings from Paramount’s Halo TV series and Sam Reynolds from The Walking Dead are also the other writers for Assassin’s Creed. 

The other showrunners are David M Weiner and Roberto Patino, who also served as executive producers of Westworld and DMZ. Co-executive producers are Claire Kiechel, who also worked for HBO’s Watchmen and Star Wars series.

Upcoming Netflix Web series

Assassin’s Creed is one of the best open-world action RPG games, which allows people to explore many places, including those in history. Their recently launched Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is the best-selling RPG game of this year.

They have tried to bring the Assassin's Creed closer to people with a movie in 2016. But it didn't fit well enough, as the fans were not satisfied with the storyline and action sequence compared with the game. It's been a decade now, and with all this new technology, we expect the AC web series to give the same thrill as playing a game.

In recent times, many games like Minecraft, The Last of Us, Resident Evil, and Halo have all turned into web series and movies. People also give massive support to these new storylines, and we expect more games to turn into movies in the future.
