Devs left with mixed feeling on Stalker 2 release
Stalker 2 was a long time coming, however, the ongoing invasion by Russia made it a difficult situation for everyone. Talking to Eurogamer, Creative director Mariia Gryogorovych at GSC Game World revealed that the team was happy for the game’s success, but at the same time she also believed the internet issue was a bad thing, especially during these times.
The success for the game was quite apparent, despite having some hilarious bugs which the developer admitted need a fix. The most recent patches to the game addresses a ton of these, with more bug fixes and performance improvement incoming.
“It's not perfect, we need to fix everything, it has some problems. But it's a game! It's a game with soul, with feelings there, with love there. Even the problems, you can't fix them if you don't have a game,” she added.
