Skyesports Championship 2024: NBK-led Revenant Esports set to travel to India for participation

In thrilling news for the Esports and especially Counter Strike 2 fans, Skyesports has announced the arrival of global esports giant Revenant Esports in India. The team will travel for the upcoming Skyesports Championship 2024 which has a prize pool of USD 200,000.

According to the organizers the European team has received a direct invite for the tournament and will be competing with seven other teams for the glory. The CS2 lineup of Revenant will be headlined by Nathan “NBK” Schmitt. He is one of the most notable names in the game and a two-time Major winner.

NBK will be accompanied by a Revenant line-up including Kamil “Reiko” Cegielko, Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom, Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea, and Adelin “adeX” Nica. They all have been stars of the game and it will be a good watch for the fans to witness them in India.

Who else will compete in the Skyesports Championship 2024?

According to the organizers apart from NBK-led Revenant Esports, Aurora Gaming, BetBoom Team, Eternal Fire, Furia, and The MongolZ will also participate in the tournament. It’s worth noting that this will be one of the biggest Esports events in India considering the prize money and participating teams. 

Speaking about the upcoming championship and confirmation of Revenant Esports’ participation Skyesports CEO Shiva Nandy expressed his happiness. He said, “We are thrilled to welcome the talented roster of Revenant Esports to the Skyesports Championship.” 

“It fills us with immense pleasure to see local esports organizations realizing the potential of Counter-Strike 2 esports, fueled by our $1 million 2024 roadmap and numerous on-ground events, and picking up international rosters. Bringing the best esports athletes in the world to compete in India has been a dream for us. We look forward to hosting the Skyesports Championship LAN this July.”

It’s worth noting that there will major format change in the upcoming championship as Skyesports will organise separate qualifying rounds in Europe and India to finalise the top two teams of the championship.
