India has got its representation in the Pokémon UNITE World Championship. S8UL Esports has emerged as the solo team from India to take part in the event. They won the qualifying round which took place on the 11th and the 12th of May 2024. The qualifying round had a total of 12 teams. In the final of the event, S8UL Esports overcame Zenigame Squad and GodLike Esports to emerge victorious.
The event is set to take place in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. The participants and the winners will have a huge prize pool. Just for taking part in the event, the team will receive prize money of $15,000 of the $37,500. It will be the second consecutive appearance of the team in the event. In 2023, they won the Indian qualifier but were eliminated in the group stage.
This time around, they have a chance to improve the record in the tournament which is set to take place from the 16th to the 18th of August. Speaking about the qualification after the event, S8ULAllmight claimed that the competition in India has increased drastically. He felt happy as the teamwork and practice helped them to secure a spot for the second time in a row.

He added that S8UL Esports is better prepared this time compared to the last edition and hoped to deliver a better performance. He added that in 2023 they managed to beat the eventual champions, Luminosity Gaming, but failed to win the series. He concluded by hoping to qualify for the second round and beyond to get revenge against the teams they lost to.
"Last year, we were able to take a game away from the eventual world champions, Luminosity Gaming, but we failed to secure the series. We hope they qualify so we can get our revenge this time," said S8ULAllmight in his statement. The qualifier in India was conducted by Skyesports. The roster has a good set of players and there is an improvement in the competition.
