Selangor Red Giants overcome Falcons APBren
Falcons APBren were having a cakewalk for the entire tournament at the Esports World Cup and were primed to become the champions. The team went flawlessly, in the group stages to reach the Knockout Round where they faced barely any challenge until the grand finals.
To compare, the Selangor Red Giants were also the top team in their group, however their run to the finals looked much rougher with a close match against Fire Flux Esports. The team also started with a loss in the grand finals as Falcons APBren secured the first game.

The following match saw the Red Giants make a recovery for the time being, however, their opponents were also not giving up that easily. Following a brief exchange of games, the Red Giants took back-to-back maps and were one step away from victory.
APBren, however, denied them the satisfaction and took the game into a nail-biting seventh match. At this point, the game has been going on for far too long and the only thing keeping the players going was the crowd and for Red Giants. The desire to do what no one has done and with that in mind, they managed to clutch the game.
It was undoubtedly one of the best games in the ongoing Esports World Cup and has set a new bar for the upcoming Dota 2 Playoffs and Honor of Kings Mid-Season Invitational event.
