The victory celebrations have yet to settle down, but fans for Team XSpark are already for a slot at the PMGC 2024. Team XSpark recently made history by becoming the only team to secure back-to-back official BGMI tournaments, and fans are wondering if they will go international from here. Sarang, however, clarified the current situation.
For context, the PMGC, or the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 is the biggest PUBG Mobile event hosted by Krafton each year. Sadly, the Indian team does not qualify due to a closed ecosystem after the PUBG Mobile ban back in 2020.
While BGMI remains an exact copy of the game with the same updates coming from PUBG Mobile, the servers are based in India along with the matchmaking. While it has advantages, the real trade-off comes from not being able to go international.

PMGC 2024 will feature 48 teams fighting for a $3 million prize pool. One of the slot is reserved for an invited team and since Team XSpark recently secured two championships, fans are hoping that they will get the invitation and India will finally play international in esports.
Sarang responds to fans' query
In a recent stream, fans picked up the topic once again, asking Sarang if the team is getting a PMGC slot. Sarang gave a quick response saying at the moment, he does not know if there is an invitation for Team XSpark at the moment.
“Let’s hope for the best,” Sarang said, adding that the team is confident in their skills, and will be able to perform their best and give a great competition to other teams. The closest Indian teams got to play internationally in recent years was the India-Korea invitational, where Indian teams did give some of the best PUBG Mobile teams a good challenge.
