Star player for GodLike Esports, Jonathan, was left in tears after missing a golden opportunity to secure the BMPS 2024 championship. Following an incredible run at the tournament, everyone was convinced that GodLike would be the ones lifting the championship trophy right before one of the biggest upsets of the year in the final match.

After dominating for the first two days of BMPS 2024, the team fell short on the final day. However, the team did have the opportunity to make everything right in the final match. Sadly, while taking down one of the rivals, the GodLike was left with just a single player.

The dream, of lifting the trophy, did not end with losing teammates, but instead with an unfortunate zone elimination. This gave Team XSpark a golden opportunity to go ahead and take the win, simply by surviving till the end. Following the team’s failure to qualify for BMPS, GodLike was finally looking in form to secure an official tournament, which makes the loss even more heartbreaking.

Did GodLike make a mistake by taking a fight?

Many fans would think the fight GodLike Esports picked was a mistake, however, only surviving the final match to secure the tournament was not enough to secure the championship. As expected, Team XSpark was playing it safe and since they were on top of the leaderboard, GodLike needed to chase the score.

Numen Gaming, who secured the second spot, was also engaged in a fight with Hyderabad Hydras in an attempt to secure the championship. Both teams had realized the lead Team XSpark had and were trying to cover the gap. If the roles were reversed, Team XSpark would need to do the same.
