Riot Games to announce new Valorant map during VCT Masters Shanghai?

A recent leak by popular Valorant insider on X, ValorantUpdates, have revealed that players might be getting a new map in the game. The official reveal as per the post will be during the VCT Masters Shanghai.

The event is set to start on May 23 and will feature 12 teams from multiple region going head on. Currently, not details regarding the even have been made public apart front eh date and location. The VCT Masters Madrid was recently secured by Sentinels.

Episode 8 Act 3 trailer fuels speculations

While the hype for the event was already there, the news regarding a new map have further caught the attention of players. These speculation rises after Iso, Clove and Omen were spotted in an unknown background location in the Episode 8 Act 3 kickoff trailer.

Currently, there has been no official announcement or even an official teaser from Riot Games. However, people have their own theories. By the looks of the background, many believe it to be related to the three agents in the mage.

Furthermore, the announcement is speculated to be done during the upcoming VCT master and could be related to a Chinese-themed location. The game has already added agents from different countries and even added a map from India, so it won’t come as a surprise.

Currently, Valorant features 10 maps, and while not every single one is always in rotation, having a new map to play on will be quite interesting. The last map added to the game was Sunset during Episode 7 Act 2, way back in August 2023. It is high time that the community got a new map.

As for now, all we can do is hope the news is true, and the community will finally be able to enjoy a brand-new map. With how rapidly Valorant has been gaining popularity, players have very high hopes regarding the new map.
