The developers behind popular Battle Royale title PUBG has now revealed their next PvP shooter, named ‘Project ARC’. Describes as a fast-paced top-down tactical shooter, While the game is said to be inspired from PUBG Battlegrounds, initial impression will have players think of features from multiple popular games like Rainbow Six Siege.
While being a tactical shooter, the game implements various CQC elements similar to R6 Siege, like breaking the walls with explosive hammers. The defending teams can also reinforce various entry points, preventing opponents entry into the ‘Crypt’.
All of this action takes place in a top-down format that also implements a line of sight feature. Since the game doesn’t seemingly have a mini-map, this line of sight feature is shared among teammates, allowing players to get more information even if your squad is playing a PvP game on mute for some reason.
The similarities of PUBG Battlegrounds comes in the form of equipments inside the game, including weapons and utilities. Various weapons like Mk14, AWM, and P90 along with tactical equipments like Blue Zone grenades, recon drones, grenade launchers, and proximity explosives are also available.

Project ARC release date?
While there are a lot of tricky words thrown around in the reveal, the release date for the game remains a mystery. The Steam page for the game showcases ‘To be Announced’. The game also does not have a free-to-play tag, considering games by PUBG Studios aren’t free-to-play on launch, but gamers will have to wait and see.
On the surface, the game looks like a unique entry, although, more details on character and weapon balance will be revealed after the game enters testing phase. It will also tell how well mixing these elements work together in a tactical and fast-paced game.
