The official PUBG Mobile account has now pushed a short video explaining why a player should not use cheating software and what are its consequences. Cheating has been a serious issue across multiplayer games, and while it's generally common knowledge, it is important to remind players why it can be harmful for them and others.

In the video, the developers advised players not to cheat and explained briefly how the detected system works and how players can lose their valuable accounts. The automated detection system is always working, and as soon as it finds suspicious activity, the match and details are sent to admins.

The match is then reviewed manually by a person to further make sure that the users were actually cheating. Once confirmed, a permanent ban is issued to the account, with all of its items permanently locked. It is important to note that it does not matter if the users only cheated once, as it violates the terms of PUBG Mobile.

More severe consequences of cheating

Apart from a permanent ban and losing your account, there are many other reasons why cheating can be harmful. First, cheating ruins the game not only for the cheater but other players too, as it breaches the integrity of the competitive environment.

Second, using cheats to play a video game also degrades gameplay. Oftentimes, cheaters become so dependent on these cheats that their individual skills never improve. These players will then have problems playing legit and will always resort to using cheats. Having a gameplay sense in games like PUBG Mobile and BGMI is very important to dominate others.

Third, and while not very common, sometimes the best way to prevent cheating is to take legal action. There have been cases where game developers have gone after cheaters. Most recently, Krafton India warned BGMI cheaters that they would be making their information public.
