The popular online card game, Marvel Snap, has been banned in the United States following the recent TikTok ban. Players trying to access Marvel Snap from the US are now greeted with a notice saying the game isn’t available in the country, similar to TikTok users. This isn’t surprising considering the publishers of the game Nuverse is also owned by ByteDance.
“Sorry, Marvel Snap isn’t available right now. A law banning Marvel Snap has been enacted in the U.S. Unfortunately, that means you can’t use Marvel Snap for now. Rest assured, we’re working to restore our service in the U.S. Please stay tuned!” the message says.
Marvel Snap was quite popular among the players despite some controversy regarding monetization in the game. This was thanks to its quick and satisfying gameplay that got many players hooked. The game recently had a crossover with Marvel Rivals.

Marvel Snap devs respond to the ban
The development team behind Marvel Snap also issued a statement saying that the ban came out of nowhere. However, the team did say they are working to bring back the servers for players across the US. “We’re actively working on getting the game up as soon as possible and will update you once we have more to share,” the statement said.
Unfortunately, MARVEL SNAP is temporarily unavailable in U.S. app stores and is unavailable to play in the U.S.

This outage is a surprise to us and wasn't planned. MARVEL SNAP isn’t going anywhere.
We’re actively working on getting the game up as soon as possible and will…
It is important to note while the game says the game has been banned, the devs say it is ‘temporarily unavailable’. At the moment, it is unclear how long the ban will persist. The developers have reassured players that the game isn’t going anywhere.
There have been talks about removing the ban on TiTok after Donald Trump started his presidency which will likely also unban the game. If not, Second Dinner will have to look for a different way to bring back Marvel Rivals.
