Ukrainian national team player Mykhailo Mudryk will not be available for Chelsea in EA SPORTS FC 25 due to a doping drug test conducted in December that yielded a positive result. This information was shared by the Career Mode Tracker account on the X social network. While Mudryk has been removed from Chelsea's lineup in Career Mode, his player card remains accessible in Ultimate Team mode.
Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk tested positive for a banned substance last November
In mid-December of last year, it was confirmed that Mykhailo Mudryk tested positive for doping. The Athletic reported that his A sample showed the presence of the banned substance meldonium, with the test being conducted after a match for the Ukrainian national team in November.
Mudryk is pursuing a bold defence strategy, firmly asserting his innocence while opting for a B test. Should this test corroborate the initial results, he faces a potential suspension of up to four years.
"I know I didn’t do anything wrong; I hope to be back on the field soon. I can’t say more right now due to the confidentiality of the process, but I will say as soon as I can," said the Ukrainian footballer.

Alongside Mudryk, two other Ukrainian players, Viktor Kovalenko and Vitaliy Andrievsky, are currently without clubs and have not made an appearance in EA SPORTS FC 25. Additionally, several well-known footballers, including Spanish national and Barçelona's star Dani Olmo and Brazilian Oscar, have also been removed from the game recently.
Meanwhile, Mudryk's club team Chelsea will face Wolves in their next Premier League fixture on January 21st. The club currently sits in fifth place with 37 points in 21 matches.
