Tanmay "ScoutOP" Singh and Payal "Payal" Dhare won two of the biggest awards in the Gaming world at the Global Excellence Awards 2024. On the 12th of May, the organization announced its winners for the year in different categories. The duo of Scout and Payal emerged as the Gamer and the Female Gamer of the Year respectively. It is a massive achievement for the duo.

Interestingly, both of them belong to the same group of Esports - S8UL Esports. The team recently won the Indian qualifiers to qualify for the Pokemon UNITE World Championship which is set to happen in Hawaii in the USA. It will be the second consecutive appearance of the team in the biggest Esports event of the year. Payal and Scout are proud members of the team.

Scout happens to be one of the most popular gamers in India. The star player has played a crucial role in popularising the gaming and esports industry in the country. In the last 6 years, a lot of players have emerged from India due to the awareness among the youth. As of date, he has a total of 3.9 million followers on Instagram and over 4.94 million subscribers on YouTube.

Payal overcomes stereotypes to go big

Payal, on the other hand, has played a key role in the women's division of gamers. India is a country where less popular games are not exactly considered a career option. However, Payal showed that with determination and hard work, one can achieve their dreams. She registered her name for the Female Gamer of the Year award and won it in 2024, which is a great achievement. 

As of date, she boasts a good following on different social media platforms. On Instagram, she has 3.2 million followers. On YouTube, she has a total of 3.79 million subscribers. The event was graced by several popular Indian celebrities, The Bigg Boss contestants like Abhishek, and Ayesha Khan, and a popular actress like Shilpa Shetty Kundra were in the event. Payal received the award from Shilpa Shetty.
