After multiple upsets in the BGMS Survival Week, Gods Reign were finally ready to touch glory after a huge chicken dinner to close out day 3. However, their dreams were shattered by Orangutan, who handed them the second spot.

This was the first time Gods Reign gained momentum at the Survival Week and while there are still some matches to go, fans would agree that the team was robbed. But this is how competitive gaming works, the opponents are also there for a win, and Orangutan followed the same theory.

Gods Reign loses in a 2v4 situation

Orangutan had the perfect positioning and the entire situation was similar to a previous game between Team Forever and Global Esports. However, this time around, Orangutan had the better grounds as they had better cover while Gods Reign did not have much to go on.

Despite that, Gods Reign did put up a great fight. As the team pushed through smokes, the match turned into a close quarter combat. Gods Reign get a few downs, but the man advantage with Orangutan allowed them to secure an easy victory. The 2v4 situation was not entirely impossible to overcome, however, it wasn’t a walk in the park either.

Despite the victory for Orangutan and second spot for Gods Reign, both teams have a long way to go before they recover their ranks and will need to work real hard if they are aiming for the top four position to secure a spot in the grand finals.

However, it won’t be easy as Vasista Esports and Carpe Diem has also been stepping up their game and is currently reigning on top of the leaderboard. Other fans favourites have also yet to perform, in-fact, the top five teams after Day 3 are underdogs.
