NESC24 champions

The National Esports Championship 2024 (NESC24) for Tekken 8 recently concluded with Wasfi "YoshiKiller" Bilal stealing the crown from Shubham in the grand finals. But worry not, as both the winner and runner-up will be representing India at the BRICS Esports Championship 2024, competing against top Tekken 8 players from other nations.

Hosted by the Esports Federation of India (ESFI), players competing at the NESC get a chance to compete across international events. This time, both players will head towards Moscow, Russia to compete at BRICS 2024.

After securing the championship, YoshiKiller said, “Winning the NESC24 is a great experience, especially knowing that I'll be representing India at the BEC 2024 in Moscow. It's been a journey of devotion, hard hours of practice, and the encouragement of a wonderful community. I can't wait to demonstrate our worldwide capabilities and make my country proud”.

However, losing the grand finals hasn’t put a dent into Shubham who went on to defeat Tejan in the loser's final. After that, he expressed his gratitude to everyone and was also ready to give his best at the tournament. “I gave it everything I had and was honoured to have made it this far. Earning the opportunity to represent India at the BEC 2024 in Moscow is a dream come true, and I'm eager to prove myself on a global scale,” he said.
